Female Support Worker*

Easingwold Learning Disabilities Service
Full or part time positions available. (Shifts include sleepovers, evenings, weekends and bank holidays)
£13, 180 - £15, 944 p.a. (pro rata)
We have recently set up a new supported living service in Easingwold for 3 women with learning disabilities and some challenging behaviour. This is a major step forward for them, being in their own home for the first time, having their own front door and becoming more independent.
You will join a team of support workers who assist these clients with all aspects of daily living, including social and leisure activities and some assistance with personal care; helping build our clients’ confidence to live as independent a life as possible.
Experience of support work is preferred. However, we will provide full induction and training to gain an NVQ, with opportunities for real career development. More important is that you are able to demonstrate respect and understanding for clients’ rights and choices, and show a genuine desire to help someone get the most out of life.
