OUTREACH WORKERS
Salary £13,003 per annum
Full & Part Time positions available
Affinity Trust Outreach Services provide support to individuals with Physical and Learning Disabilities living in their own homes and in supported living services across Leeds and Wakefield.
People with disabilities have their own hope and dreams, aspirations and wishes to be accepted into their own communities and to be seen as equal citizens. We aim to ensure that those we support have every opportunity to live their life to the full.
Outreach Workers are required to support people with all aspects of their daily lives. Successful applicants will have the commitment and the drive to make a difference to peoples’ lives. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Applicants will be enthusiastic, able to use their own initiative with excellent interpersonal skills. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is required. Experience is preferred but a full and extensive programme of training will be initiated on appointment. All Outreach Workers are trained to a minimum NVQ level 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Car drivers are needed, as travelling between services is sometimes part of this role. All applicants will undergo an Enhanced Disclosure check by Criminal Records Bureau.
The hours of work are on a shift rota system over a 24 hour / 7 day period. In addition to the salary quoted enhancements are paid for sleep in duties and expenses for car drivers.
